Steve Grimes MD and Leslie Vieira CST utilized the hospital in Masaya again this year to perform Cataract Surgeries. Candidates were functionally blind and received one cataract extraction and a lens implant.

Dr. Grimes received translation assistance from Katherine Joseph, and from Sarah Mason. 25 patients had their vision restored. The images below are from 2001.
