Screening

The screening room was very successful this year.  There was rarely a dull moment.  Most of the time the majority of the workers manning the screening room were translators.  The translators made the screening room more efficient.  The screening process sometimes moves a bit slower when either the screener or the recorder does not speak both English and Spanish.

I was extremely impressed at how dedicated the translators were in the screening room.  They rarely took breaks and if they did the breaks were extremely short.  The translators, like the VOSH members, told me they wanted to see as many people in the clinic as possible and their dedication was extremely apparent.  Without their help the screening room would not have run as smoothly as it did.
