Over the course of
one year, NEVOSH holds and participates in multiple fundraisers to meet
our monetary goal of $21,000 to make this possible. We get a container
of 280 wheelchairs from the Wheelchair Foundation each year, which are
shipped from China to Nicaragua. The wheelchairs that we distribute are
specifically designed for the rough conditions of developing countries.
Extra heavy wheels, tires, and front casters, sealed bearings and nylon
seating make these wheelchairs the best possible for most conditions.
They also come in various sizes to accommodate both children and adults.
